Description

This 14-day itinerary covers Egypt and Turkey, starting in Cairo with visits to the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum. A Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor includes stops at Philae, Kom Ombo, Edfu, and Karnak Temples, with optional visits to Abu Simbel and a Nubian village. After exploring Luxor’s West Bank, travelers return to Cairo before flying to Istanbul. In Turkey, the journey includes the Egyptian Market, Bosphorus cruise, and iconic landmarks such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The tour continues to Ankara for the Ataturk Mausoleum, then to Cappadocia to explore underground cities, Göreme Valley, and unique rock formations before returning to Istanbul for departure.

Arrival, reception, and assistance at the airport with visa regulations, transfer to the hotel, and check-in at the hotel after 2:00 p.m. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel, a departure from the hotel to begin the full-day tour to visit the three Giza Pyramids of Cheops, khephren, and Micah, built more than 4,500 years ago, called the Great Pyramids of Egypt, which still remain a mystery today due to its alignment and construction. Alongside these magnificent monuments, other temples and pyramids coexist, including the famous Sphinx of King Khafre, with the body of a Lion, and visit the Valley Temple. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to visit the Museum of Antiquities (duration 02 HRS) founded in 1857 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette, which displays artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a 5,000-year-old collection of rare art that is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. More than 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, and we will also be able to admire Tutankhamun's fabulous treasure discovered by Howard Carter in 1822 and more monuments from ancient Egypt. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cairo airport and flight to Aswan. Arrive at Aswan airport, transfer to the Nile cruise, and check in at 12:00 pm (Lunch is included on the Nile cruise). Start the guided tour riding a felucca (typical Egyptian sailing boat) to admire the panoramic view of the Mausoleum of Agha Khan, Elephantine Island, and the Botanical Garden as a transfer to visit the Temple of Philae, built in the Ptolemaic period and dedicated to the Goddess Isis, the complex was dismantled and transferred to Agilkia Island, which through UNESCO intervention was saved from the waters of the Aswan Dam. It was one of the last places of pharaonic worship in operation until the 6th century AD, and where the last known hieroglyphic inscription is recorded, dated 395 AD. At the end of the visit, return to the Nile cruise. Dinner and overnight. (OPTIONAL TOUR) Visit to the Nubian Village in Aswan

Breakfast. The possibility for anyone interested in making the Optional visit to Abu Simbel. (OPTIONAL TOUR) Visit the temple of Abu Simbel, the temple of RAMSES II, the largest fort in Egyptian history, and visit the temple of his favorite wife NEFERTARY, 280 km from Aswan by bus. Have lunch on board. After lunch, sail to Komombo, upon arrival visit the Temple (Temple of Komombo) built in sandstone during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods and dedicated to two conquests: Sobek, with the head of a crocodile, and Haroéris with the head of a falcon. Visit the Crocodile Museum, dedicated to the history of the cult and mummification of that animals in Ancient Egypt. Navigate to Edfu. Dinner on board and overnight.

Breakfast and visit the Temple of Edfu dedicated to the God Horus – God Falcon, built during the Ptolemaic period, is considered one of the most prestigious pharaonic temples and is in the best state of conservation. Return to the Nile cruise and sail to Luxor through the Esna lock. Lunch on board, afternoon tea served on the Sun deck. Arrive in Luxor and visit the east bank of Luxor, where we will see the destroyed complex of Karnak, dedicated to Amon Ra. Known since pharaonic antiquity as Ipet-isut, this was the most important cult center dedicated to the triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. The temple of Amun and the sacred precinct of Karnak are connected by an avenue of sphinxes with the body of a Lion and the head of Amun. Continue to visit the Luxor temple. At night, watch the oriental spectacle (Festa Galabeya) on the Nile cruise. Dinner on board and overnight.

(OPTIONAL TOUR) Balloon ride over Luxor Breakfast and check out of the Nile Cruise. Visit the western bank, which is the City or Kingdom of the Dead where there are the royal funerary temples, the necropolises of the officials, and in the mountains, the tombs of the Kings (Valley of the Kings). Visit the necropolis with the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues of the enthroned Amenhotep III, which decorated the entrance to this funerary temple. The colossi are the only remains that have survived. They are imposing and still maintain their character as guardians of the Valley of the Kings. Transfer to the Airport for Return to Cairo. Arrive at Cairo and transfer to hotel, check-in at hotel, and overnight.

Then we go to the port to take the beautiful excursion through the Strait of Bosphorus, where you can enjoy the fabulous panoramic view of the fascinating villages, palaces, and villas. Lunch at a restaurant of fish on the Bosphorus coast. In the afternoon, we will visit the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest bazaars in the world. Accommodation.

Next, we will visit the Hippodrome from the Byzantine period and then St. Sophia from the 6th century. After lunch in a typical restaurant, we will visit Topkapi Palace, the residence of the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, is famous for its excellent collection of jewelry and porcelain, Accommodation.

Upon arriving in Cappadocia, we will visit an underground city. these cities were built as refuges by the Christians of the time and are made up of several underground floors, ventilated by chimneys, where you can admire the common rooms, kitchens, and dining rooms. The whole day dedicated to exploring and discovering this fascinating region, unique in the world, where, together with its fantastic landscape, moon with beautiful and strange lava formations from the eruption of Mount Erciyas and the action of erosion, we will find a multitude of small villages and churches carved into the rock. The Göreme Valley, an incredible Byzantine monastic complex consisting of churches carved into the rock with beautiful frescoes, the troglodyte villages of Paşabağ, the natural fortress of Uçhisar, Ortahisar. We will pass through the artisanal center of semi-precious stones from Cappadocia and then by the fairy chimneys of Ürgüp, stone cones topped with flat rocks; Avanos, the village of crafts and weaving centers. We ended the day with a visit to a handmade rug. Dinner and accommodation.
